Speech and Hearing Association Conference
October 12, 2001
Steer and Stein Steakhouse, U.S. 41 W., Marquette
Jeanane Ferre is a nationally recognized expert in the assessment and treatment of individuals with central auditory processing disorders (CAPD). She has presented workshops and seminars throughout the country and is a much-desired conference speaker. Dr. Ferre maintains an active clinical practice in Oak Park, Illinois, and provides assessment services for professionals throughout the Midwest.
Individuals with CAPD demonstrate a variety of problems associated with processing sound. These problems may result in other disorders or may coexist with them, such as learning disabilities, speech-language impairment, attention deficit, and developmental disabilities. Understanding the nature of CAPD is essential to providing appropriate management for children with these problems.
